Painted pebbles

Every now and then I like to paint or draw letters or things on pebbles. Luckily, I live near River Thames, so I can pick some up from her bank.

March is quieter month, so I got some time to go back to do some more. These are all painted with brush or blunt pointed nib with acrylic, so that they can be water resistant.

Fun to fit figures into natural shapes or patterns or colouring they already have.

This one is going to Tokyo, for my brother’s family who had just moved back from U.S. Hope to become nice addition to their new home.

Can apply some letters too, but quite hard to make thin hair lines with blobby Acrylic paint. Pebbles are great material as they have beautiful natural back ground colours and textures already.

Flower or plant themed ones will go to Nunhead cemetery in June, for their plant sale for charity.
