The ladies I have been teaching in West London have similar aged children. They might be interested in using brush pen, to try calligraphy for the first time, I thought from the experiences from school fayres. I have booked a room at West Acton Community Centre, and in total 24 people turned up on a day!

I prepared name cards for the attendants.
Aged 5 to 11, they were all different, but we started with some basic strokes, and then simple words.
To feel how brush reacts, when you press and release. Class room was quite quiet – everyone concentrate.
And they copied my samples, using variety of colours. Beautiful!
We finished writing their own favorite words onto the thicker cards. Mothers also enjoyed while being busy looking after their children. It was an hour session, but we will do it again for sure – fun and easy!
The brush pen we used for a day, were
Kuretake ZIG clean colours / Akashiya ‘Sai’ / Pentel aqua brush, midium/ WH Smith set of brush pens / Berol set of brush pens.
A lovely post, thank you for sharing. It’s lovely to see all of the pictures
